Well, Elsie is now just over two weeks old and she is doing great. She has regained and surpassed her birth weight - she is now at 7 lbs 11 ounces! Who knew we would be so proud of our little girl for gaining weight. She has been sleeping for about four to six hours at a time at night and has finally got the hang of breastfeeding (or maybe that is her mom has finally got the hang of breasfeeding). Many thanks to everyone who has called, visited, sent emails and cards to wish us well. We are tired but VERY HAPPY parents.

Such a cutie! She looks very peaceful in all of these pictures. :) That's awesome that she is already sleeping so much at night, too. I'm looking forward to her first trip to BUMC--it will be so fun to meet her and see your little family all together!

Iska - what a beauty just like her mama. Enjoy these precious moments my friend. They rush by so fast. In a blink you'll be experiencing what I am, the terrific two's. I miss Colin being that tiny. But again - we have new things to have together. I've been teaching him how to blow, so that this year he'll be able to blow those candles on the cake out. It's too precious. You should see it. He almost has it down. I know it's early but please plan on coming to his 2nd b-day party its May 15th. Anyhoo - give that baby girl lots of kisses. God is good isn't he? They are the most incredible creatures aren't they? Welcome to motherhood. Love Ya Chicky, Christy.
