Cousins

Well, Uncle Howard looks quite at home with three kids (yet only one of them belongs to him). Don't you thing Grandmama is lucky to have one blond, one brunette, and one redhead?

Just us girls

This is the only shot I got of just me and Elsie. the last shot of the day and it is lovely. She looks like an angel. (LC's dress and Wyatt's bow tie and vest - thanks Grandma!)

My Fireman

It is nice to have my own fireman around.

And he cleans up well.

Little Cuties

Wow! Some days these two just take my breath away! I am so blessed and so lucky to have these two little cuties to love and to make me forget about the craziness of life.

Catching Up!

Well, I quit one job (University of Houston), started a new job (Rice University), and then there were the holidays and now a whole new year. So, just now getting back to getting things together! New pictures soon. So many to share. Happy New Year everyone!

The Big Boy Bed Build

A big day at our house - Wyatt got a big boy bed (Elsie gave him hers cause she got Gaga's four poster bed). We let the kids do the move so they could have a hand in the process. BTW - Wyatt is very good at placing slats in bed frames, call for appt times for his assistance. After the move was complete, Elsie showed Wyatt how to get in and out of his new bed via his new "stairs". Now if I could just get him potty trained . . .

Show us your handsome face

Wyatt learned something new at school (Thanks Mrs. Mildred). She taught him to "show your handsome face" which consists of him tilting his head to the side and smiling a cutie pie grin. Really? Like this child needs to practice being cute? Daddy's of little girls beware, Wyatt is a lady killer.

Olivia Lunch

Well, you may all think I am crazy, but when Elsie was reading her Olivia book and said she wanted to try Olivia's favorite sandwich, I agreed. We ran to the store to get the needed ingredients and, yes, we had cream cheese, pickle and raisin sandwiches for lunch (I must mention that Wyatt opted out of the pickles right away and Elsie decided to ditch them later) but both kiddos ate cream cheese and raisin sandwiches that day. What can I say, if they are willing to try something new, I am willing to let them. Maybe they will also learn that not everything they read is a good idea, or that recipes sometimes need modification. Life lessons are everywhere!

Big Boy Bed

Well, we are not sleeping in our big boy bed every night, but we are well on our way. This photo was from the very first night. Yes, I snuck in that morning and took a photo (I just couldn't resist!). My little guy is growning up!!

Wyatt's First Haircut

It started off as a bit of a disaster - there were tears and some protests, but as soon as they asked about the dinosaurs we had seen at the zoo earlier that day, all was well in first haircut land. He looks so handsome with his new big boy cut. Watch out ladies!

Roar!!!! 2nd Birthday

We had a roaring good time for Wyatt's second birthday. Green cupcakes, dinos everywhere you looked and ice cream. Does it get better than that? Why, yes, it does - when you get a new radio flyer tricycle (and a big sister to show you how to use it!) ROOAARRRR!

All that Sparkles

We spent a lovely day at Mimi's (Michael's mother) for the fourth of July complete with sparklers. Please note that in daddy's absence, Wyatt was practicing safe pyrotechnics - see his bucket of water?
