Babies who Lunch

Elsie the socialite - here she is at Pico's Mex-Mex. She goes to lunch with her friends Carl, Benton and Gabriel most Sundays after church. (Notice that these are all boys, hmmm. . .) Here she is with mommy, her best buddy Carl and his mommy Angelia. (Is he checking her out again?) They had a great time playing with the bowls and they give this restuarant four thumbs up!
Thanks for the photography daddy.

Visit from Uncle Jeff, Aunt Tracy, and cousins JJ and Steffany

Elsie had a visit from her Uncle, Aunt and cousins that live in North Carolina during the month of June. She had a great time getting to know them, especially her Aunt Tracy and her cousin Steffany. The only picture I could find from the trip was of her and her cousin JJ. Will post some more when I get the others from NC.

Picnic at the Park

Elsie has been a busy girl this summer. Here she is at the park on a Sunday School picnic. She and the rest of the little ones jung out under the pavilion in the shade while the big kids played on the playground.

Water Baby

Here is Elsie is her "clam" that daddy bought her. She loves to float along with you while you swim. When you put her in the clam she kicks her legs like she is swimming too. She also holds onto the handles and looks out over her pool like a queen. Some might say she already runs this place. And before you ask, yes she is wearing sunscreen, and a hat and her Daddy is right next to her in this picture. It will be a while before she can hang in the pool on her own - at least another month! Just kidding.

Look What I Can Do!

This are some recent pics of Elsie with her new skills in the food department. She can hold her bottle, play with Cheerios, and eat yummy eat sweet potato puffs. She hasn't made the connection to pick the puffs and/or Cheerios up and put them in her mouth, but she can hold up to five puffs in her hands (three on one and two in the other) and show you how they magically stick to her hand. Then she waves her hands and they fly all over the kitchen. What fun!

Gotta Love Grandmas

Elsie and Grandma Wire playing. Love how she is looking at Grandma, too cute.

Visit from Grandma

Elsie had a visit from her Grandma Wire in May. She also got to see her Great-Grandpa Wire and her Grandma Sue. During the visit Elsie had a little party for some of her friends. Her friend Carl decided to help her entertain her grandma. (is he checking her out? - watch out daddy!)

Red Hat

Elsie is very into hats and wanted me to post a picture of her new favorite one. She picked this one out to go with her new bathing suit and because it matched mommy's. Also, here is a better picture of her in her polka dot bathing suit complete with matching skirt. Does it get much cuter than this?

Bathing Beauty

Well, here it is, the moment you have all been waiting for - Elsie in her bathing suit! She had a great time in the water, although she said it was a little cold for her since it just rained. Her friends Benton and Gabriel (pictured) came over, with their parents of course, and they all went for a swim. Elsie can't wait for everyone to come over and "swim" with her in the pool.

Summer Bonnet

Well, the days are getting hotter here in Houston and a girl needs her bonnet whenever she ventures out of the house. This is Elsie in just one of her many hats. This one is actually a sun hat that can be used in the pool. Watch out! Elsie already has a bathing suit and she is ready to go for a dip. It is not a bikini, but let's just say it has polka dots on it. Picture forthcoming . . .

Five Months

Well, mommy is a little behind in posting this photo of Elsie at five months. But here she is, in a beautiful dress made by her Grandma Wire. Would you check out that smocking? Amazing. Elsie really likes that the dress is long so she can kick it with her feet - what fun!

Uncle Howard and Cousin Lonon

Here is Elsie with her Uncle Howard (or Uncle Howie as we like to say). This picture was taken in Elsie's Great Granddaddy's backyard. She was watching her cousin Lonon throw the ball to the dog (well, we call it "throwing"). Anyway, she loves to be outside and really likes to watch all of the action with her cousin. There is also a picture of Lonon "throwing the ball". What a fun Sunday.

Easter Baskets

Here is a picture of Elsie's Easter baskets. She got some great books - which have all been read already! She loves to "read" with mommy and daddy. So far, Elsie says that these "holidays" or whatever you call them are awesome. When's the next one?

Cereal - Yummy

Elsie started on cereal about two weeks ago. It was a fun experience - a little messy - but fun! Here is a cute picture of her enjoying cereal while daddy was feeding her. Now she is really growing.

Elsie the Delivery Girl

Elsie made a quick stop last night after school to her Aunt Karen's to drop off an Easter present that she and mommy had made. Here she is making her delivery. Who knows - this could be the start of her training for Girl Scout cookie orders!

The Easter Bunny

Well, here is Elsie-belle with her personal friend, The Easter Bunny. Mommy and Grandmama waited in line for over an hour (yes, that was fun with all of the oh-so-happy-nap-deprived children at the mall) to get this cute photo. Elsie really pulled through for us and even smiled for her picture. What a doll! I can't wait for next year's picture where she will, no doubt, be screaming!

Bluebonnets

Here is Elsie in the blue bonnets near Great Granddaddy's house. Even though we had a terrible storm the night before, mommy and grandmama still took the little belle out to take her picture - we just couldn't resist! It was cloudy, but Elsie still thought it was too bright outside. She was also really sleepy as we had been in the car for a while, but she did really well. We even got a picture of Emily in the bluebonnets. What fun!

My Favorite Things

Elsie's favorite things (besides mommy and daddy) are her taggie blanket and her Emily doll. Here is a picture of her with both of them - notice that she is holding both of them with a death grip. Emily and Taggie go everywhere with us - school, the car, Grandmama's - you name the place and they have been there. Nothing better than a girl and her blankie and doll. Gotta love that.

Four Months

Well, here we are at another milestone. Elsie is four months old in this picture. We had to visit the Dr. again to get a check up and the dreaded shots. Those are four letter words in Elsie's book. She did really well and weighed in at 12 pounds. Dr. Cook says she looks great and that he would see her back when she was six months. I can't beleive that she is growing so much so fast. Before we know it she will be driving - well, she has a few other milestones to hit first - but it is really going by quickly!

Fun at the Zoo

Elsie went for her first trip to the Houston Zoo on March 3. She went with her buddies Benton and Gabriel Ervin, their parents Michael and Chrissy and of course her mom! It was a little chilly at first but then things warmed up and Elsie got to see the Giraffes and the Elephants. The babies were so cute! After watching the big animals for a while Elsie was pooped and took a nap for the rest of the outing. What a day! I know you can't tell - but this is a picture of Elsie at the Zoo.
